Information for Parents and Carers

Mental Health and Wellbeing.

At Carclaze Primary School we believe in promoting good mental health and wellbeing for the whole school community.

We place high importance on mental health and wellbeing. Each child is encouraged to identify a trusted adult who they can speak to in times of worry or anxiety. This does not have to be their class teacher – it may be a previous class teacher or even a member of the office team – we are always available for our pupils.

We believe in creating a safe, secure environment for the children. They are always greeted at the entrance to the school by a member of the Senior Leadership Team and then greeted by all of the staff in their classroom upon arrival to the door. We want children to feel a part of our school family so prioritise how they feel. In all KS2 classrooms there is access to a “What I wish my teacher knew” box where children are encouraged to share their feelings with staff.

Support for pupils.

We have a graduated response to issues involving mental health and our staff are always available to talk to parents and carers about any concerns they may have about their child. Please contact via the office or Eschools.
