Garden Tidy Up Team

Garden news!

You may notice that we have been working hard to improve the outdoor environment at Carclaze during the Summer holiday. This has been a voluntary team of parents and staff. The flower beds have been tidied, added to or in some cases, redesigned. There are some new areas of grass and the playground has been weeded and swept. Please can we ask for your support with our outdoor areas by picking up any litter and ensuring that your children don’t run across the flower beds. Our aim is to provide and maintain an outstanding learning environment in all areas of the school. Working together, we can achieve this goal.

Can you help? On Fridays after school (weather permitting), there will be a volunteer gardening club for parents and children until 4pm (approx). This will be an opportunity to maintain the work that has happened over the summer. Largely it will consist of sweeping, litter picking and weeding (Squash and biscuits provided!) Please just feel free to turn up when you can, your time and support will be hugely appreciated.

We would also welcome any donations of plants (perennials in particular) and ground coverage (bark, pebbles etc). If you do have anything that you come across during the year that might add to our environment, please do not hesitate to contact the office and let them know.

Many thanks for your continued support, Helen Knight (Chair of Governors and Parent Volunteer)
