Julie is the author of the popular Unicorn Academy and Woodland Magic book series. During her visit, she shared some of her stories and talked about what it is like to be an author. She also explained where she gets her ideas and how she turns them into books.

Learners enjoyed hearing about Julie's journey as a writer and learning how a story develops from a simple idea into a finished book. They had lots of thoughtful questions and were keen to find out more about her characters, stories and writing process.

The visit inspired our learners to use their imagination, enjoy reading and think creatively about their own writing. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet a real author and gain an insight into the world of books.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Julie Sykes for taking the time to visit us. It was a memorable experience that our learners will remember for a long time.
