Remember Remember to Read in November 2020

1st November 2020
Remember Remember to Read in November Returns

We are very pleased to bring back our reading for pleasure campaign for a second year. All month we will be using the slogan "Remember, remember to read in November" to promote reading. Look out for the #hashtag on our school Twitter and Facebook pages.

Look out for competitions, games, pictures and more information on reading throughout the month.

Events will include a virtual author visit with Maz Evans, recommended lockdown reads and much more.
Virtual Author Visit: Maz Evans

We were delighted to take part in a series of virtual workshops with Maz Evans, author of the 'Who let the Gods Out' series.

Each class had the opportunity to take part in a live question and answer sessions with maz. Some of the questions asked by Year 3 included:
  • What it's like to be an author?
  • Where does she get her inspiration from?
  • Iit difficult writing a book?
Reading Staff Meeting

How do you make a group of teachers extremely excited? Gift them some money to spend on new books for their classroom!

Thank you to the Friends of Carclaze for supporting us with the purchase of the these special books and to heather from Stories by the Sea Bookshop for collating such a fantastic array of books for us to choose from.
