Hi I am Jo, I am a mum of two, one now at Penrice and the other in Year 5 at Carclaze. I work as a health care assistant. I am really pleased to be back as part of the Friends Committee and look forward to a great year of fundraising for the school and our children. I am always crazy busy and my favourite hobby is booking holidays!
Mrs Donna Miles
Hi I am Donna, joint vice chair with Marie. I am a busy mum of two gorgeous girls one currently in Year 4 at Carclaze and the other at Penrice. I work part-time at a local solicitors firm.
I am really pleased to be back on the Friends Committee having previously been joint chairperson and secretary in previous years. I'm looking forward to meeting lots of new people this year and having fun fundraising for the school and our children.
Mrs Marie Turner
Welcome old and new friends of Carclaze. My name is Marie and I am vice chair. I have a child in Year 5 and my eldest has just left , now at secondary school. My background is teaching assistant, carer for children with learning disabilities and now working with adults rehabilitation from hospital. Helping with Friends is a great way to give my time back to great school.I have previously been on the Friends committee as Joint chair, now back after a break.
Mrs Kerry Gray
I'm Kerry, and I have twins in year one, and a little one hoping to start in 2018.. Having been a pupil at Carclaze myself 30+ scary years ago, I feel a great affinity to the school even after moving away for a very long time. I now hope my skills working with communities can be put to some use in supporting the school for my own little people.
Mrs Alisa Shopland
I'm Alisa and have worked in the office at Carclaze for around 12 years. Both my grown up children went to Carclaze and my daughter is currently doing her college placement there too! I have previously held chairperson and secretary posts for the PTA and have held the position of vice secretary for a number of years purely to be the office/school representative! I'm looking forward to an exciting year of fund raising!!
Ms Jo Plester
Hi, I'm Jo, your current Tresurer and am the mum of a brand new Foundation Student. I live locally to the school and want our community to get involved as much as possible. We love outdoors living, hanging out at the beach, in the woods, and on our beautiful coastlines. We love gardening and enjoy cooking too. I am a passionate, enthusiastic person and can't wait to get stuck into helping the school build their resources and help enable students to have a wonderful experience whilst in and out of school.
Mrs Zoe Derriman
I'm Zoe and my daughter is now in year 2 at Carclaze. I have enjoyed working with the Friends committee over the last 9 months and look forward to being involved with the fundraising events this year. As an accountant, I hope I can put my financial experience into good use by helping the committee in my new role.
